Nvidia D3D prop box: AA: What does 2x2 special imply?

Gaussian blur. It uses as much samples as standard 2x2 FSAA, but averages them differently. Result is a softer image with less jaggies. I personally consider this the best-looking D3D FSAA setting, but some ppl might find it too soft.

It uses LOD bias (= sharper textures in distance where mip mapping is used) of twice higher resolution vs. standard 4-sample FSAA mode.
