Nvidia cheats on 3dmark2k3

I think we should care about the "bug". In fact, I won't recognize 5900Ultra as the best till I see it fixed.

So you all care abourt 3DMark2003? Or any 3DMark for that matter? :disgust: Might I suggest to anyone who wastes inordinate amounts of time on 3DMark that they find a game to play or some video to encode or drawings to make?

to me it's an issue of nvidia being disceptive...

they have great products don't get me wrong...

but the fact that they would tweak their drivers in order to beat ati at some benchmarks is just stupid and absurd...

that was my point... it wasn't in order to start a ati vs nv flame thread

just to let people aware of something dishonest nvidia was doing...

wow. There goes their sales of the nv35, they better get to working on it, they NEED you to recognize it as the fastest card

The questions is, is it 3DMark only or also other benches? I could care less about 3DMark. I saw a screenshot somewhere that also showed clipping in Serious Sam. The problem with benches including real game benches with built in demo maps is they allow "optimizing" for that particular benchmark. I see the 5900U doing so well in benches, yet look at these screenshots form the [ H ] review:
FX 5900U 8xAA/8xAF UT2K3 ---37 FPS
9800P 6xAA/16xAF UT2K3 ---95 FPS

FX5900U 8xAA/8xAF UT2K3 ---30 FPS
9800P 6xAA/16xAF UT2K3 ---69 FPS

It doesn't look so hot here. The 9800P has a much better framerate and better IQ in this example. This does make me wonder what is going on.

Hehehe, I wanted to say something like that up there ^^^ but I didn't want to be mean. 😀

I agree with Shimmishim.

To Op Star, I don't mind what you think, say whatever you want.
I only believe in what really happens, If it hurts you its not my problem.

And the best doesn't mean the fastest.
