Best to ignore that person, he doesn't know anything and clearly extremely ignorant.

*Facepalm*

As seen from the leaked driver, Pascal is Compute Capability 6.0. Pascal is not Maxwell no matter how many times anyone tries to repeat that lie.

And?
First, NVidia said Pascal is Maxwell, but with support for HPC. See slide about Pascal.
Second, Maxwell 1.0 (GTX 750Ti, no DX12 FL 12.1 support) for CUDA 6.0 (compute capability 5.0) and Maxwell 2.0 (with FL 12.1 support) for CUDA 6.5/7.0 (compute capability 5.2) -- different versions, but one architecture.
And new Maxwell 3.0 (Pascal) supports Compute Capability 6.0 for Mixed Precision (FP16 and FP64) and NVLink.

Yeah, ok. All I know is when they announce the release date for Pascal, that is also the trash bin date for Maxwell. They will show a photo of the Maxwell driver team packing up their crap, clearing out their desks and moving it all into the Pascal office.

When that happens, feel free to mail me your trash 980ti's 😀

Do you think the up and coming Pascal cards will have more than 10gb of vram for the mainstream cards? Or do you think that it will have 6gb to 10gb?

They might have up to 16 Gb considering that Titan X had 12... however that means... that they will increase the prices at 25% due new tech, node and more vRAM.
