Is it possible to take 2 nVidia 7950GTs, install them in a crossfire mobo and have it work?

On certain CF mobos, yes. *BUT* you need to use hacked drivers that are unsupported. Last I heard there are two versions and they are older driver files so there could be (and I do believe there have been many) incompatibility issues with various modern games. Also the cards wont run in full normal SLI mode. I think the PCIe throughput speed is cut in half if I remember correctly. Instead of 8x8 you get 4x4 or something like that. You can find the drivers and more details at XtremeSystems.org.

Gee, AMD/ATI wouldn't be being two-faced with their comments about nvidia blocking crossfire on nforce boards and that they would never stoop so low, would they? ...

I thought I heard someone overcame the dual 7950 problems (through software) on a CF mobo but I could be wrong.
