Nvidia card to Component (Y-Pb-Pr)

Just installed driver 61.77 on my GeForce FX 5950 Ultra and it gives me an option to send a TV signal to HDTV with component video (Y-Pb-Pr). Does anyone have any clue what kind of adapter do I need to get the signal from DVI to component? I might be wrong it may be some kind of adapter from 9-pin minidin to component(Y-Pb-Pr).
THX in ADV.
😱

u can try a bnc break out cable.
rgb cable

and ignore the h and v lines.

You'll need a bnc to rca converter, 3 of them.

bnc - rca

This is how i get y/pr/pb out of my hidef tuner card, dunno if its the same with the nvidia.

Good luck.

What model do you have? If its something like LeadTek WinFast A380 TDH Ultra, you may just need the cable shown here Link, otherwise maybe a Transcoder would work.

Thx guys for quick reply
First im wonderin if BNC would work because Hsync and Vsync cary resolution signal so i wouldnt be able to view hdtv in more than 800X600. once again i might be wrong. On the other hand it seems to me like leadtek ( link above ) has the right connection and the question is if i can get that (DVI-I-to-D-Sub adapter) and (Universal VIVO splitter) anywhere on the net.
Once again THX

I was wondering also about this solution.
VGA has 15 pins and u can build RGB sync on Green with combined Vsync and Hsync. Here is my diagram
1------*--------R
2------|-*---*--G
3------|-|-*-|--B

Uhmmm that sounds cool, but i dont think it'll work.
y/pr/pb is a differnt signal than rgb entirely, i dont think you can just comibe the h/v signals on green that way.
Its why they sell those transcoders for alot of moolah. Ive used that aa transcoder btw, it worked great when the "old" hdtv standard was rgb/vga.

Transcoders do take a bite of the resolution and fine detail tho, so should be avoided whenever possible. Also can shift the picture left or right depending on the res timings.

The breakout cable might be worth a try, im sure if nvidia gives u the option of spitting out a component signal, im pretty sure they took care of the sync on green for you.

Like i said, my hd tuner card only has a vga out, but if i set the output to y/pr/pb, and use the breakout cable, it works perfectly over component. The h and v are only used if i set the output for rgb.
