Hi there, sorry to post such a specific question post as my first, but through my searching id have to say this forum has by far been the most helpfull to me for more subjects that i can remember. Thats why im now back to ask an opinion of you all if you'll take a few minutes
Im currently about to buy two 24" monitors running at 1920x1200, the standard if im correct.
Also, i need to buy a new graphics card to support them, as one large virtual desktop as 3840x1200 ( on linux, if its of any consequence.)
In short, im totally lost
Im not sure if i should be looking for a certain virtual desktop range spec, or some other spec like ram to make sure that ill be able to support this res. I know cards list a max supported res but isnt that per monitor?
If i could get any clarification that would be just awsome, and any reccomendations for a card that can reach this res in the 150-250 USD range would also be much appreciated. I have been looking at the 8800GT, does anyone else have any experiance as to how it would stack up for this?
Thanks for help in any way possible.
