Your uninformed mouth spouts off again. Things off the rail aren't rendered; they are supposed to be culled in hardware (as the video card does with off-the-screen stuff in all other real games). Yes, I know 3DMark doesn't exactly simulate a real game, but in this case it is trying to stress a certain part of the video card that would also be stressed (maybe to a lesser extent) by real games. Nvidia is (presumably, if they're doing it on purpose) attempting to bypass a necessary part of 3D information processing to gain an unfair advantage. Given that you appear to be nothing but a nvidia fanboy who refuses to accept the truth (that the culling of invisible surfaces in 3D rendering is a process that should be done by the hardware of the video card, not by cheat codes programmed manually into the software ahead of time), I will stop responding to your flame bait. Everything you say (which you say over and over) has been refuted already, so there is no point in me babbling on, trying to enlighten someone who refuses to see the light.

Sounds like a bit of SOUR GRAPES losing the performance crown means everything.ATI had it and only a few weeks ago it looked like NVIDIA were heading for disaster (NV30) But who here can say they werent HONESTLY surprised by NVIDIAS quick action in releasing the nv35 from everyhting ive seen its a potential winner (for now) .It goes to show that they DO want to be the KING of vga. This can only help us the consumer. The mess up on the Nv 30 has actually benifitted us all. Nvidia released the 35 alot earlier than they'd hoped (i bet you it was planned for Christmas time.In doing this its going to get ATI on its toes again. All this talk about 3d mark 03 is just future mark having a dig at NVIDIA for snubbing 3dmark 2003.And i personally dont see any problem with optimising for certain applications, man in case you havent noticed but the PENTIUM 4 in the early days relied completely on sse2 in photoshop to beat the ATHLONS.now in most othe rbusiness apps it got pummeled by amd BUT alot of people didnt care that the p4 was slower on sysoft benchies or whatever. They saw the P4 beat the Athlon in the application they used.So they chose P4. 3d mark 2003 like alot of other synthetic benchies dont mean SH*TE
and PERSONALLY I WOULD TAKE NVIDIAS WORD OVER FUTUREMARK ANYDAY.
1)Futuremark = Never actually made any software that does anything (content creation business aps etc) just a bunch of meaninless sh*te THEiR STANDING AS THE DEFAULT 3d benchmark program is history so what are they now? NOTHING
2)All this conspiracy theory about CHEATING etc is a load of crap.NVIDIAS software development team would have been flat out the last few months trying to get the drivers right. So there might be and error in rendering IN CASE YOU HAVE BEEN UNDER A ROCK NVIDIA release drivers all the time the problems will be fixed UNLIKE ATI. Do you really think that the CEO of NVIDIA said to his dev team "man we have to win in 3d mark 03 at all costs i dont think so) They had publicly denounced 3dmark03 prior to this.Every one is SOOOOOOOOOOO fixated on SOFTWARE ISSUES
ask youself this why would they cheat when they HAVE THE CROWN AGAIN !!!!!!!!! The nv35 will still have alot of driver tweaks to go which is a good thing they dont rest on thier laurels AT LEAST WAIT TILL THE CARD IS WIDELY AVAILABLE before slamming the driver team for CHEATING its just not how things work. Why spend the effort on cheating when they could have not even bothered with mark 03 at all and it wouldnt really hurt their image but they did just to prove a point and now because of a few rendering errors everyones crying foul. The first time i saw a RADEON in action was a joke there were freakin artifacts and sh*t everywhere (these were on real applications)
It was all related to the hyper z or whatever their name for it is Now ATI software has matured the fixed alot of their problems but its not like they waved a magic wand and their product was fixed it has taken them a couple of years to just beat NVIDIA for like 9 months.SO BEFORE YOU BASH EITHER COMPANY ASK THIS
How much can i afford for a card and which of the two companies provides a solution that suits me as long as your happy with your purchase thats what counts.
