So the X1800XL is competition for the GTX?

Ever thought of doing an X1800XT against the GT.... never....

When is this guy going on holiday... any votes?

Was the AMD 64 FX 57 used on all those bench marks?

I would have to look at the bench marks and compare how the test were conducted.

Who ever used the FX57 and ran a ratio of 9 DX games to 1 OGL. Would get my vote as there are 90% more DX games than there are OGL games

They are pretty close in price.

as we know nothing but the msrp of the ati parts you can't really say that, for sure.

Newegg has the XL for $439 and a GTX for $419. These are actual prices. So if you were looking to buy a XL you would look at a card in it's price range as competition.

Well, from those links, the winner is obviously nvidia. Question is, where the heck did those links come from and what makes you think they are legit?

I think I might visit all of the sites listed there and tally them up myself. What can I say, I'm bored and its raining really hard right now.

Yeah, but for the majority of the market, you would be looking at B&M prices, not internet prices, and comparing those.

Assuming ATi ever ships cards, the consumer wins, because volume competition drives prices down.

So, to answer your thread title question: Me.
