Nvidia - ATI - 3DLabs - or Other

Hmm I haven't seen this around here yet so lets see what the reaction is!

Well since I own about 40 of the Cards I would say NVIDIA!

Why? Well I love the fact of SLI, and it is not pointless in my line of work. I love how easy there cards are to work with. I love the fact that they own the 3DMark everything scene for the top everything. I love the fact I got my 7800GT's on day of release! I just love NVIDIA?.

well this thread looks like one for the lawn chair and a 6 pack of fosters.....the bonfire will be intense.

42 posts and your already making sure people know which side you bat for. lol each to his own i guess. and yes SLI isnt pointless its good, especially in 3D CAD apps.

but while we're at it......i currently like Nvidia. i moved from an NV GF3, to a 9500pro and now i use a 6800GT and its been nothing but bliss. i forgot how much i liked the NV drivers better than ATis. i didnt have any trouble with any of the cards i own, but for some reason this 6800GT has left me supremely happy.

I assume you all mean 3Dfx, and not 3D Labs....

No 3D labs...they make workstation cards. ie 3D Labs Wildcat800

not this guy...

3D Labs but since Nvidia bought them, Nvidia.

I wouldnt mind a cheaper competing alternative though. 😀

From the OP's perspective, 3DLabs makes sense though

my graphics cards in order: ATI Rage, ATI 9600 Pro, ATI x800XL, but I just got my 7800GT a few days ago, so now I'm with the nvidia camp (and hence I voted for them)...

I am currently using ATI but will soon be buying an Nvidia video card. I used to like ATI better, but I can't help but like Nvidia in recent times. They have great products at great prices with great drivers. How could one go wrong with them?
