(if that's true) Well, that's not good, not at all.
I've always preferred NVidia over ATI, too. But I can't say that now if they are putting out a product that is definitely inferior.

why does it matter?

DX10 wont be out till 2005, if then.

and this is pertaining to the NV38, which will be 2 years old by then.

Learn to read between the lines.

The guy posts a BS item full of unsubstantiated charges and when asked to back it up, retreats and claims he's under NDA, as if an NDA stopped him from making the initial post. Huh?!?

Try to think about this rationally - For all these rumours to be true, Nvidia would've had to switch from a leader in the industry, blazing trails and pushing the bounds of hardware to a company so self-destructive they'd abandon the graphics standard used by 90% of games. (iD engines aren't everything.) That'd be like pharmaceutical company with a cancer cure deciding to switch to bottling boiled bark and leaves as a curative.

I know there are a lot of Nvidia haters here, but give me a break, ANY bad news is latched on to despite little PROOF to back it up. ATI Fanboys just can't settle for having the fastest cards, can they? Talk about sore winners...:disgust:

This post is a BS. I cant believe people are still linking to it. Here is another great post by this kid.

For some reason my screwy videocard crashes halo when I'm connected. Even so, 5 kills in 30 seconds . You see, I have a 9700 with a damaged pipeline (1 transistor is blown). It's able to run fine with most stuff, but it makes my system crash in the weirdest situations. Like: I can't play mp3s or movies with sound, and I obviously can't play halo online. But I'm gonna load catalyst 3.5 drivers onto my system again, these usually run it the most stable. Just for everyone's info, the damaged pipeline was my own fault when I spiked my AGP voltage too high

Yup this kid of full of it. Search through some more of the forums. He also claims to have patented "Hybrid Xexen compression" technology. Which according to him will make AF\AA obsolete.

The fact this single post is still getting passed around is a sad day indeed for the internet. I even heard legit sites are linking to it in their news items. I cant believe anybody with 3 brain cells would believe it to begin with. But people obviously just want to believe anything bad when it comes to Nvidia.

This is total BS. I've seen it on 3 or 4 other forums, and miraculously, no one seems to be able to come up with a link to a credible source....all links end up leading back to that post.

Furthermore, if you google "Team DX", you'll find that there IS NO SUCH ENTITY INVOLVED WITH MICROSOFT. Their DX development group is not known as "team dx".

This post is a crock of sh!t, plain and simple. Just more hot air and wishful thinking from the ATi fanboy camp.
