Nvidia alternative to "ATI tool"

I've been having a few issues with my 6600GT setup (As mentioned here)

I was advised to use the ATI tool to check for artifacts and found none.

Would a Nvidia alternative program be able to test that bit better?

It does not give you a diagnostic break-down, but it's recommended for artifact scanning because it causes very high stress on the GPU.

I can't see how this would be any different than running HL2, D3, Farcry, etc at full settings with everything turned on. Unless I'm missing something here

You can monitor your temperatures at the same time you are running this program. It will render scenes in HDR, so you know you're getting some nice stress in there.
