nvidia agp vs pci-e...prices

Is this the usually trend? Cheaper to get better performance with the latest version, 7800's outperform the 6800's. Maybe I am missing something here...

Going to build another system around Thanksgiving...no brainer to go with pci-e...

any thoughts on why the older models are still carrying a high price tag?

Yes, defenetly PCI-E is the no brainer right now. WIth both 939 and 754(for budget useres) having PCI-E, there is almost no reason not to switch unless you have an AGP board.
