Nvidia 9600GSO

Has anybody seen the 9600GSO offered for sale anywhere in the States? One of the other sites, based in The Netherlands, has a review on it and, considerering it's sub $100 retail, it looks like a decent buy if you're not running high resolutions. I'll probably never have a monitor larger than 19 inches so 12 X 10 is about it for me. Seems in my case to be a decent upgrade from my overclocked 7600GT.

The 9600gso is just a renamed 8800gs, AFAIK.

I understand that but the retail on the GSO is supposed to be right around $100. The only 2 companies selling the 8800GS are EVGA and XFX, at least that's what I understand. None of theirs are near $100 retail. A couple are below $110 with rebate.

guru3d.com is where I saw the review but it is based in The Netherlands and stuff they have isn't always avaiable here.

The 8800GS/9600GSO would be a nice upgrade from a 7600GT especially for 12x10 use. Make sure you get the EVGA model as it has fan control, the XFX model does not and its fan just runs 100% constantly. The extra $7 or whatever is definitely worth it for quiet performance.

you could have bought the evga one at frys.com i think it was $80 after the rebate and it has the good fan.
