CANNOT get the graphics drivers to work for the 8800GTS on Vista Ultimate.

Has anyone gotten theirs to work? Any links for new drivers? I'm running the 32-bit Vista.

Dang, I'm in driver hell right now. Can anyone help?

Apparently the newest beta posted on Guru3D is working a bit better:

Edit: Heres my comment from the Nvidia user forums before they delete or deny it: *(Quoted for accuracy from MY post on Nvidia user forums)

Not to seem out of line here, but this driver situation is a joke... it doesn't matter wether MS releases Vista at Midnight or 3:00am, the FACT is that shaky beta drivers for Nvidia's flagship product have only just been released. THIS IS INEXCUSABLE (!!!) .... workable beta drivers should have been available for MONTHS now & WHQL drivers should be posted for download on Nvidia's website so that I could run over to Comp-USA, snag a copy of Ultimate to install on my state of the art PC!

Strange how ATI seems to have managed to have workable drivers posted for quite some time now... looks like Nvidia is now OFFICIALLY number two in the driver developement department. How about we at least get an APOLOGY from Nvidia management since its painfully obvious one is warranted.

 
Success!!! Thanks guys, the ones at Guru 3D seem to be working, have to check in more detail though, but at least it's working.

And yes, Nvidia has some serious catching up to do in the driver department for this round. Hopefully they get their act together soon.

Yeah this is BS! :|

I'm pissed off because they can't even fix the damn flat panel scaling in their XP driver for the G80.

Now I've got to wait for them to pull their heads out of their @$$es and release a Vista driver!

I'm so close to dumping this 8800 GTX the second ATI comes out with their DirectX 10 card it isn't even funny!

Wake up NVIDIA! :|
 
I downloaded the new drivers and my 30 inch LCD will not go past 1280 by 800 resolution. There isn't even a choice to do that in the control panel. I used the tool to reassess my system performance and it still gives me a 1 for graphics so no Aero. What gives? Booting in XP not a problem for 2560 by 1600 resolution...
