Nvidia 8600GTS on an ATI motherboard

I just purchased a Gigabyte GA-MA780GM-S2H (http://www.mwave.com/mwave/Dee...-MA78GM-S2H&ALL=y&TP=). I understand it has onboard ATI graphics, but can I disable them and just use the EVGA 8600GTS that I currently have instead? Will there be any confliction at all?

No, it should work just fine. Compatibility errors are very rare between mobo and GPU.
