Nvidia 81.85 - Tearing similar to VSync (VSync is on)

I upgraded today from 78.03 to 81.85.

I did a complete driver removal, restarted, new drivers, restarted.

I am experiencing a kind of tear similar to the VSync one. It happens on World of Warcraft when rotating lateraly to another direction and sometimes it stays even when still.

It happens around 40% of the top of the screen, 1920x1200 resolution.

VSync and trilinear buffering are enabled, as they always were. Nothing on settings was changed meanwhile (identical setup/settings as before).

Did I miss anything? Or is it a driver problem related to this version?

Shimmering seems to be worse than 78.03 (like 77.xx was), even with HQ and clamp. Anyone knows if the fix was implemented?

Edited: mistyped 81.45 instead of 81.85

I thout I was crazy. It has happened to me too, in F.E.A.R. Im at 1920x1200 as well. There was a light that was hanging and swinging from the ceiling, and the screen had "lines" (like vsync lines) thru it, several of them. I only noticed it at that one time, with the light. Other than that, I didnt notice it. Perhaps res specific?

I have vsync off, and triple buffering off. Because for NV, triple buffering only works in OpenGL, sadly. F.E.A.R. is the only game I have tried with the new drivers. I just reformatted yesterday, and havent play BF2 yet to notice if the shimmering has gotten worse. Thats the only game I own that it really bothers me in. Spent most of the day reinstalling games.. and watching football.

edit, just to be clear, Im on 81.45 too. As I said above, I reformatted, so it was clean driver install.

Because I mistyped. I am on 81.85. Too many driver numbers, I saw his post said 45, and its early...

Besides, newer isnt always better. ;)
