Uh oh, if the Multithread driver performance increase is true, will that mean Prescott may actually match the A64 in gaming (due to HT)?

Id like to see some results.

Perhaps in incorporating H.264 hardware acceleration, they unintentially fixed a few things with WMV acceleration. HD WMV on the 6800GT still is completely unplayable, but the fact that it now goes twice as long before choking is noteworthy, I guess.

I have an Evga 6800gt and using the Forceware 76.45 drivers the 1080P runs just fine on my machine..

If your card is AGP it wont work with mpeg4 for lowering the cpu use as PvP is f00ked, you may play the clips ok as i do as of cpu and rest of PC are powerful enough but CPU use is 100% and nobody is any differnt on the AGP 6800's only the 6200's and 6600's are said to work.

Try play that new buggy beta POS from apple Q-T 7.0, its out of aspect aswell.

So how is the beta going for everyone? I was thinking about going up to this version but wanted to make sure.

Thanks for the compliments...

Just wanted a stable platform to start and then i'm going to be pushing it a bit for my first overclocking experience (using Zebo's method since I'm a noob). I'll start all that after I finish my first game...KTOR II...LOL! been a while since I bought a game...figured I wouldn't push it too far yet!

Buggy, very buggy. I uninstalled it and went back to the offical drivers.

Bugs seen included :
- OpenGL games intermittently refusing to start with various obscure error messages
- Textures becoming fuzzy and/or pixelated in D3D games
- Video overlay flickering wildly with some playback settings
- Antialiasing and filtering settings changing erratically in apps
