New G72 and another i dont know of.

Doubt it as other is G not C, i forget the link but i wasnt meaning to DL just look at new tags for new gpus lol.

Show me the "C" for chipset in the above !!

isnt C51 the a64 integrated graphics chipset theyre working on?
and G72GL is probably the 7800 ultra, the one to be released after r520 - or they might call it 7900 to make it cooler 😉
and INQ said something about release 80 to support SLI between 2 cards with the same chip but not identical BIOS - aka 2 different OEMs. someone should check that out 😎

true, SLI now supports the 6600nu, you no longer need to use the physical link between the cards, and each card can now be overclocked independently

not only do they not require the same bios (which was never the case in the first place) but it can be two completely different brand cards running at different gpu/memory clocks.

G72GL is probably the Quadro version? maybe? GL as in OpenGL? Like ATI FireGL? I don't know...

GL would indicate a Quattro definitely, but just that entry

all the rest are entries for non-Quattro gpus

god I hope its a 32-pipe card in the works

An interesting effect of these drivers is that the Step into Liquid 1080p HD WMV video now plays twice as long (about 4 secs into the FMW) before choking. I've tried playing that video with every driver release of the last year just to see if nvidia was able to fix PureVideo for the 6800GT with each release, and that file would always play for 2 secs into the guy in the wetsuit walking on the beach before choking. Perhaps in incorporating H.264 hardware acceleration, they unintentially fixed a few things with WMV acceleration. HD WMV on the 6800GT still is completely unplayable, but the fact that it now goes twice as long before choking is noteworthy, I guess.

so any benchmarks with these drivers?

i'm very curious b/c i'm almost to the point of picking up a 7800GTX OC and ridding the X850XT PE

mmm... H.264 sounds good..

Someone try it out..

Quicktime 7 runs like s h i t in it's current form!! Wonder what it brings CPU usage down to...

* Adds H.264 hardware decode support for the 7800 series

I remember this was announced as a big feature for the next ATI card. I think the 80 series is supposed to support SLI cards that are not from the same company. So you can have a EVGA and a BFG for example.

You will not be disappointed! I just replaced my X800XTPE and I'm one happy camper!

Not sure if I should try these since everything has been working great since I put it together yesterday.

H.264 decode is only for the 7800GTX.

Wow nVidia release new beta forcewares like every week...within 6 months we've gone from like 60-something straight to the 80s.

Got them installed. Haven't noticed much. 3dmark05 went down about 100 points. Think I'll go back to 77.72.

Try some games.

Games? You mean I can play games with this thing? 😉

Maybe he means try something worthwhile and don't panic because you lose some 3D Marks and feel like your penis has shrunk so you need to go back to other drivers to make it bigger again.
