Nvidia 7150???

Hello everyone!

I'm thinking about buying this laptop:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ol...oduct&id=1204924952362

but am not into games, have only one simulator on my desktop.

My primary purposes are word processing and digital picture manipulation, along with surfing the net.

This: NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS, I believe, is the next step up, in notebook video cards. Image quality is important in regards to my need for clarity, because of some weakness in vision. The model with this video card is another $300 (with features I doubt I'd ever use, like HDMI). Given my needs, is it worth the extra expense???

Also, how does the 7150 compare to the more common ATI X3100 (I think that's what it's called)?

Any and all information appreciated.

thanks,

John

that will have absolutely no benefit in helping the way you see things on the screen

Thanks, clandren &

so, for my needs, there's no point to the additional $300 expenditure?

thanks,

John

No point in spending $300 more if you don't plan to play games. You will not notice any image quality differences among different graphics processors in everyday use.
