Anybody running into any problems with these drivers since they released on the nVidia website on 3/11? Are they working well or poorly for you? Better benches or worse than previous ones? Post your problems or success stories here!

I am using the XG 71.84 finals and LOVE them. My scores jumped up in 3D mark, I no longer have DVD playback issues, and all the games work as well as before. They might be running faster but I don't have the eyes to pick out a few fps here and there.

I'm using the last set from Nvidia, I haven't had any trouble except in Rogue Spear (really old game) and that was it. I don't really see a reason to upgrade. I don't know if I will or not.

I love 'em. I got annoyed at first because I ran source video stress test before and after (coming from 66.something) and I was getting 5 FPS less continuously. I realized it was because the new drivers undid my OC. I re-OCed the card and now I am getting 5-10 FPS more in the stress test and slightly better performance overall in HL2 and CS:S (those are all I really play now).

They fixed the Unreal Engine + A64 + DEP BSOD bug finally, so i'd say they are good.

Working great, added a little more snap to my games. Now, if we could get official drivers every month, instead of once in a blue moon...

EDIT: Oh, yeah, and they fixed my 3DMark05 problem...it was crashing on the 66.73.

Performance is up across the board and they fix a few issues too. The temp problem is annoying at first but can be easily worked around.

I have been in ATI land for ~3-4 years now since GeForce DDR (I think that's what they called it.) With ATI we did not trust the uninstall routine and did uninstall, then drivercleaner in safe mode, then booted up with network cable uninstalled, then installed from scratch.

Are you guys uninstalling, rebooting, installing or are you just flat out overwriting?

Same here, best set I've used in a while.

Working fine for me. They only issue I have to deal with is the temperature bug, but that's easily fixed as others have already said.

I user Driver Cleaner Pro to remove my old drivers (I don't mess with the uninstall option in the Control Panel). After that, I reboot into Windows to install the new drivers. I reboot again and call it good to go. 🙂

EDIT: Everything runs great! No issues, not even the temp bug most people have. I run a 256MB 6800 PCI-Express.

after installing, my Pinnacle PCTV Stereo refused to start, some IRQ problem was stated by the Pinnacle Helper application, it said hardware intialisation failure
