I sometimes wonder if people even read Anandtech articles or just come here to run their fingers. Although I'm not sure what you're asking here but you could check the new nvidia 780i article on the main page. You actually learn a lot more from there than coming here asking questions and getting all sorts of answers from people who don't know what they're talking about.

I would really really love to get one of these boards but just cant seem to justify spending $300 or $400 on the mobo then blowing up to $1600-$1800 on grafics cards for triple sli.
Then something like another $200 or $300 for a new powersupply to power all this stuff.
Jesus christ people I am not made of money.
Do you guys have any clue on what your electric bills are going to be like running all this crap.
To me, better would be getting a single 9800GTX Ultra or what ever is the best of the best "single" grafics cards when the new ones come out.
Then getting a Mobo thats priced decntly thats works well for all my needs "Compatibility - OverClocking Ect".
I mean who in there right mind needs to run 3 9800GTX Ultra's?

Agreed, also a news press came out today regarding Intel postponing the quad release until later in 2008 possibly till spring. Link Sounds like they are blaming it on a lack of competition from AMD and they don't want to intrude on their current product offerings or inventories. But I know BonzaiDuck and I are hoping they are working with their partners to make the 680i compatible with the new chips, probably just wishful thinking but heh, it would be rad.

Is the GB board causing you problems now? I would recommend waiting until sometime in early-mid 2008 to see how the new chips/mobos shake out before upgrading anything.

sorry boys didnt mean it to be confusing im just thinking if this 780i board is worth it mayb i might just stick with a striker extreme i mean they perform pretty well and i dont think im going to be using TRi - Sli all i was really asking is if these 780i boards all seem pretty reference and standard.... like compared to the 680i boards the striker Vs Evga.... Evga didnt have the cool pipes and the special LCD posts and cmos clear buttons... all the 780i boards seem pretty reference.... oh well its ok sorry bout the lame post
