NVidia 6800 drivers - which ones to install and in what order?

Okay, I got my BFG 6800U OC today 😀 but my CPU doesn't arrive until next week 🙁 so it's just sitting in a box on my desk along with a couple GBs of RAM and a couple Raptor HDs. 😛

I've been using an ATI 9500 Pro so I'm not familiar with the NVidia FX drivers. With ATI there were only 2 files - the graphics driver, then the control panel. Went to the NVidia website and d/l the following Windows XP files:
  • 2.20_wdm-vivo_tv.exe
  • 53.04_2.20wdm_win2kxp_international_whql.exe
  • 61.77_3dstereo.exe
  • 61.77_win2kxp_english.exe
  • MAXtreme_6.00.07.00.exe
  • nForce_4.27_WinXP2K_WHQL_english.exe
  • nForce_system_utility_1.08.5.exe
  • NVIDIA_NVDVD_2.55_patch.exe
  • POWERdraft_15.06.06.exe
  • nvswap.zip
Which ones should I install and in what order? I'm also going to triple boot with WinXP, Suse Linux 9.1, and FreeBSD 5.2.1, but there's only 2 files for Linux and 1 file for BSD so that narrows it down.

what an odd request... well NVDVD, 3d stereo, maxtreme, and nforce drivers have nothing to do with your 6800...

Id get the latest WHQL drivers for windows, no clue on linux.

if U don't have nforce motherboard then all U need is the WHQL drivers for your 6800GT thats all, delet all the other files they are useless for U, all U need is the 61.77_win2kxp_english.exe, which is the graphics driver

OOOhhhh duh... That's what happens when you only get 4 hours of sleep a night watching the Olympics. :moon: Doh! nForce is the chipset like VIA, etc. 😱 Thanks guys.
