Whenever I restart my PC, my second graphics card is at 98% load. Until I kill SVChost.exe that is eating 13% cpu and for some reason hog the second graphics card.

I Have 2 x Gainward 680 4GB Phantom cards, running beta drivers 304.79. OS: Windows 7 x64 Ultimate.

Reinstalling the drivers did not help. On restart I have high load again and have to kill svchost.exe.

Virus checks turns up clean. (Avast, Malwarebytes antimalware).

Any suggestions?

I'd suggest the normal suite of stuff:

Try going back to the latest stable (non beta) drivers, run CCleaner registry make sure that's clean, maybe switch cards around.

Allready done before I even posted here. Switching the cards around? I did that just to test airflow, and it did nothing. Card number 2 still gets the heavy load. Latest non-beta drivers are no different than the betas either. It only cause lower performance with certain games, and the problem with load remains.

Something must tie in with SVCHost.exe and cause this heavy load.

Nothing suggested in this thread has helped. What finally helped was a complete wipe of the OS and drivers and a reinstall.

Process explorer is great, but you dont really see code that is running on your gpus with it. Only the part that is running on CPU.
