nVidia 6600GT vs 7600GS

Would it be worth upgrading to a 7600GS from a 6600GT. I haven't followed the midrange nVidia stuff in awhile, but I thought about picking one up for a friend and then he could sell his 6600GT to help make up the difference. Would it be worth waiting on $40 in MIRs to upgrade?

7600GS ~~ 6600GT.

7600GT, however, is a whole nother monster. waaaaay better than 7600GS or 6600GT.

The 7600gs is actually about 20% faster than the 6600gt, but still not enough to warrant an upgrade from one to the other. A 7600gt will be roughly 2x as fast as a 6600gt, so it's a much better upgrade.
