Hey guys I have a gigabyte 7VM400M motherboard, 1 GB of Ram, Sempron 2800+ processor, and I just upgraded to a 6600GT video card from a 5700 ultra. I was comparing the difference using online benchmarking programs like PCpitstop and it said mine was running slow... I used another program (which unfortunetly I can not remember the name) and it said I was running around the same speed as my 5700. Do you think my computer is too slow to handle this or did I do something wrong?

First, wait more than a couple hours before bumping your post. You do not need "HELP!!!!!!!"; your video card is running slowly.

Could you like maybe provide some more details? Did you run some standard benchmarking programs like 3DMark01/03/05 and compare your scores against other people's? Are you sure it's actually running slower than expected?

Did you try to uninstall/reinstall the drivers? And the chipset drivers? And DirectX?

yeah, change the drivers from the others (even if it was another nvidia card) and use driver cleaner before you install the new ones...the newest from nvidia are good. if you want, some beta drivers work better than officials.

that's all i can think of...unless you have a bad PSU...

Actually I heard the new drivers are bad... when I used then with the first card I had all sorts of problems whenever I moved a window on the screen(ohhh yeah I got the card exchanged for a new one since I kept getting red pixels on my screen) . When I changed to older drivers it worked fine. The benchmark I used was www.PCPItstop.com... I don't know any other way of describing it and the site said I was 85% of the speed of other 6600GT. I have reinstalled the drivers many times and as I said used different drivers and I am still having the problem
