Nvidia 6600 non-Gt with 200 Mhz

I have ordered an BIG nvidia card { 6600 chipset } non-Gt now the problem is its memory speed is given at 200 Mhz and this is quite low when compared to { tomhardware"s VGA Charts VII:
AGP Update Summer 2005 } ... I wanted to know is this an error at the website { h**p://www.big-tek.com } or can this be possible and if so how much can the impact be on my gameing performance.... 🙁 Thax alot for all ppl

The 6600 non GT come in 200mhz DDR specifcations, which is 400mhz altogether, which is right. Gaming performance? what do you want to compare it to? Your old card? Tell me your old card and I can compare, it. I know I had an FX5200 and it came with 400mhz memory clock and it was ok, not excellent, but ok.

Well Tom's is listing the DDR speed at 700, so that's 2X350. 200 would be very low and may be a mistake. I never heard of these BIG guys though. They have their own line of video cards? The website looks ok but the Order Now links don't even work. Not the kind of company I'd want to buy a video card from.

My brother's Leadtek is 300 core/575 mem (ddr)

200 seems awful low but not necessarily out of th realm of possibility if they used cheap ram and went away from nvidia specs...

Just wondering, did you use Rivatuner to check your clockspeeds? 'Cause those timings are always off with my card. Rivatuner capps my core clock at 350 when I can move all the way to 400 with coolbits. Try updating your drivers, install the coolbits reg file, then make sure you check the 3d tab for your in game clock speeds.

Na i have ordered my card its comeing the day after today... I could not find any Leadtek card"s tough.... The toms reading of the memory speed were out of the page..... 700 Mhz vs 400 Mhz almost double.... WOW Am a very unhappy person 200 Mhz when i can have 575 makes me wanna cry...

Did a little bit of research an it turns out that Leadtek card"s have 275 Mhz and not 575 Mhz { h**p://www.leadtek.com.tw/eng/3d_graphic/specification.asp?pronameid=172&lineid
1&act=2 }

First of all, that link is beyond butchered. Second of all, DAMN, that's a low clock speed for memory. If you are feeling adventureous, go take a peak at your memory's markings and see what they say. Maybe it's capable of higher speeds but they underclocked it. Or perhaps they are are trying to get rid of old ram chips this way.

Man, it is DDR Ram, so 275 for the leadtek == 550 effective mhz. For you, 200 == 400 mhz effictive. Low? Yes. But as the previous post pointed out to you, what they clock it at sometimes gives you little idea of what it could reach. It might be able to hit ~250 mhz, which would be nice and "noticeable" jump.

Sorry for the butchering the word in most of the form"s is that you cant post a direct link thus its a habit and habits die hard.... Ya gonna look at the marking on the ram moduls and will update on it tommorow BR....
