Nvidia 6600 GT

I currently have an ATI 9600 Pro, but it doesn't have DVI. I just bought the Dell 2005FPW today and would like to use DVI.

Would you recommend getting a new card with DVI or just stick with the VGA output?
Is there a huge difference?
How will this card play with this cpu?
Will the CPU bog it down or is it fast enough?

Edit: I was doing some thinking. I think I might just stick with the VGA for now. I plan on upgrading my motherboard and CPU about this time next year. I'd be getting PCI Express and a new video card at that point. I should probably just wait and just use that $200 or towards the upgrade next year instead of pissing it away.

On a side note, what is the slowest CPU you would run with a 6600 GT?

I think the minimum resolution for that LCD won't be doable with a 6600Gt and a 2.4 cpu with the latest games. 1280x1024 am I right?

The concept you're looking for is native resolution - 1650x1080 on the 2005FPW - and that's not defintely not doable on a single 6600GT at high FPS. At a lower notch like 1280x800, absolutely, but you'll encounter scaling artifacts.

However, the 6600GT should be a world ahead of your 9600Pro.

It'll be better when I upgrade. I bought it more for my video editing (side job) rather than gaming.
