Nvidia 631 drivers help.......

I have an ASUS 7700 Pure GTS card and i dl'd the Nvidia 631 drivers i uninstalled the previous asus drivers and left it as a standard pci card then went to install the 631's but i get a message saying these are not the corect drivers for my card? any ideas?

Are you using Windows ME? You need to uncheck the option to only allow certified drivers. Also, it could be that your Asus drivers were not correctly uninstalled and Windows still sees your Asus drivers as the best and only drivers for your video card because of this. Use the manual installed version (.zip) and instead of having it search for a compatible driver, select display a list of all drivers in a specific location and force the driver on the video card.

thanks pidge fixed it does the 631 not have an overclock utility like the asus drivers?

use the 6.50 drivers...i here they are better and have an ocing option

stanger ,for overclocking install coolbits utilitie btw it only works up to 6.49 drivers so will not work with 6.50 & above.

6.49 was slow under OpenGL. I don't know if they fixed that under 6.50.

where is the place to get the 6.50 drivers all i have seen is 6.31's
