I bought an X800 Pro myself. ATi.com was having a sale a couple weeks ago for refurbished X800 Pro's, with a grand total price of about 185 dollars shipped. Figured it would be a while till I found a card matching that price/performance, along with a 3 year warranty from a reputable company, so I jumped on it to replace my 9800 Pro, and I've been a happy man since.

Both. I initially went with a 6800U because I was tried of waiting for ATi's cards to come out. The 6800U turned out to be quite noisey and early drivers crashed quite a lot so now I'm on a X800 XL (passively cooled) while I wait to see who comes out on top this generation.

ASUS AX850XT clocked at 580/590 stock now.

Sidenote: Whats with all these guys saying the ATI has already clocked the piss out of the new 1800s so there will be no more headroom? I'm pretty sure that 90nm chips have more potential anyway, over 130s, and the last gen overclocked well anyway.

6800GT simply because it had the best AGP price/performance at the time. I am currently waiting for the company that comes out with next gen AGP. It might be a long wait if neither company decides not to make an AGP based part. Either way, I am not going to upgrade my entire system for video.

X800 Pro soft-modded to an X800XT PE and overclocked to 560/590. I have always liked ATI's image quality which is much better than nVidia's.:)
