nvidia 5900 driver update question

I have a 5900.

I just got it, so I was thinking of updating the drivers. Heres where my newbieness will shine the brightest...

Are the newest drivers that the nvidia site offers the best?

Do I Download the driver from the nvidia site or the card manufacturers website?

When I looked into the nvidia site, it never asked me which FX card I had, it just had one choice for all FX cards. Did I miss something or does nvidia use the same driver for all FX cards? Im all confused, but I could use any help, info or step by step instructions on getting the best driver for my card.

Thanks in advance,
Bruce

the forceware drivers are for all geforce series, tho many ppl prefer the 44.xx drivers for the earlier gf4 cards.

the best overall driver i've had are the 53.03, which are the latest available on nv's site.

Can someone tell me how one driver can power all the improved technology from the entry level cards that use the same driver? How can 'one size fit all'? I'll take a dumbed down answer or a techie one..

Thanks,
Bruce
