I have the AM2 Foxconn 590 board, and run completly stable with 2x1gb sticks in slots 1 and 3. When I add two more sticks to slots 2 and 4, windows xp x64 and more notably windows vista go bonkers.

Is there stability issues going above 2GB's? or is there a way I can tweek my memory to be more stable. Im not running any advanced overclocking functions.

Ram Info:
Speed DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
Cas Latency 5
Timing 5-5-5-15
Voltage 1.8V - 2.0V

Thanks!

Does it work if you lower the memory speed and/or timings? Did you try using both sets of sticks in slots 1&3 (and/or each one individually and using memtest86+ and Prime95 to check them out?)
