nVidia 5700 power draw

I'm going to upgrade my video card, and I'm after either a 9600 Pro or XT or a standard 5700. The power supply for my system is only a 250 watt unit, and I don't really want to mess about changing it. I THINK the 9600 models will be alright, but I understand that the 5700 draws more power. Is anyone actually using this card with a similar power supply?

This is my system at the moment:-

MSI 6701 motherboard
P4B CPU
2 X 256 MB DDR RAM
DVD Rom
CD-RW
Card reader
Integrated soundcard

Radeon 9000 GPU

I also have an USB ADSL modem fitted.

Assuming you have only 1 hard drive and about 3 case fans, I calculated peak usage at 286watts. This is peak and not average wattage.

Above number is based on 5700 which has a higher power draw compared to 9600xt.
