Whenever I reboot my computer my resolution goes back to 640X480. I then reset it to 1280X1024 and do my work. Then when I shutdown or reboot, back to 640X480.

I already updated bios, video drivers (2x), Monitor drivers (ViewSonic PF790) Called support for vendor and viewsonic. I'm stumpted. I just formatted and restored XP pro this weekend because It was doing the same but the reboot would put the resolution at 1600X1200.

Any help would be great!

I beleive it would be in the ViewSonic PF790 sync.
I know Viewsonic refreshes the screen automatically on some of their monitors.
I would try and install a different monitor driver from viewsonics sight and see if it does the same thing.Choose a different model number of the same size and try it.

If it dosen't work look Here
