Nvidia: 3d settings for dual gpu single card

So if I were to purchase a dual GPU, single card card, in the 3d settings for the driver is it set to single GPU?

Thanks,
JOe K.

It won't be in the 3D settings, it will be in the SLI and PhysiX settings. Just choose what ever said to maximize the performance.

I guess I'm asking does the card natively run in single GPU mode according to the driver OR does the card run in SLI (according to the driver) but just consolidated on one card

If I recall correctly, the drivers, under the SLI tab, allows you to choose to run it in SLI or not, though, like normal SLI, it doesn't label it that way.

In all practical purposes, it is SLI, even if they label is multi-GPU.
