nvidia 331.40 beta drivers bf4 support

I can't find them for some reason. They must be only available through GeForce Experience atm.

You like it also? 🙂 Personally , i wish more HBAO+ Support in upcoming Titles, Shadowing are looks more realistic. Performance-Drop with HBAO+ enabled is not very large, what is also to be welcomed.

Any chance another update could come out right before the 4th?These drivers look good but will be updating to the most recent the second before BF4 beta launches on the 4th so might wait.

the closed beta starts in about 20 minutes, that's why they're being released right now.

Yeah that last post was cause i didn't plan on playing the game till the 4th as i wasn't gonna preorder but changed my mind not that long ago,i am ready to go now buddy.🙂

Never mind, I take that back.. My computer locked up and crashed during Crysis 3, which has never happened before..

Perhaps a few more betas and they'll be fully stable.. These are a new driver branch after all..

The 327xx drivers are more mature..

Just wondering, will AMD support HBAO+, or is it a NVIDIA hardware feature?

Since AMD and DICE have partnered for AMD's Mantle API, I am presuming AMD will support all of the technology in BF4?

Any DX11 GPU should be able to run HBAO+ if the game supports it, but to force it in a game that doesn't support it will require an NVidia GPU.

On another note, I think I screwed up the installation the first time I installed these drivers. So I reinstalled them again properly this time and I no longer have the crashing issue in Crysis 3.

The drivers seem a bit smoother to me, so I'm definitely going to keep them..

NVIDIA's website only shows Splinter Cell Blacklist as supporting HBAO+ at the moment.

So Blacklists' HBAO+ will work on AMD cards?

No, no beta patches anymore. I switched back to the 320.49 drivers and don't have the battle FPS problems anymore.

I'm going to try these with BF4 to see if it performs any worse than the BF4 beta drivers. :twisted:
 
Amazingly, they do. I can't even get into game without the beta drivers. Sucks I need to switch back and forth between drivers.
 
I can tell you this - you do not want to run BF4 without these drivers. I get periodic drops to 5 FPS regardless of the graphics settings I used. The release drivers do work on BF4 but there are definitely problems which I am hoping these betas fix.

BF4 def bags out on my 314.22's (ol faithful) but man when I did the 32X.XX stuff I was crash city with all kinds of games, back to 314.22 and crash isn't in the vocabulary.. except with BF4 🙁
 
HBAO+ looks to be the first implementation of AO that doesn't look super fake to me.

I want it :'(
