nVidia 28.32 drivers : will there be the 60Hz problem or not?

I'm still at 23.11, mostly because I know how to hack the .inf file so I get 80Hz+ in games. Normally if you do a straight install, you're at 60Hz and the stupid nVidia control panel doesn't let you change it.

I'd like to know, with 28.32, do the new tabs in the control panel let you change the refresh rate? If not, is it easily hackable to change it?

If not...screw it. I'm staying at 23.11.

The 28.32's still have the refresh rate problem in Win2K and WinXP. I just use hacked 28.32s that are compatible with NVReffix.

You can lock screen refresh rate and geometry for specific resolution and bit depths. It's not a hack like NVRefFix, which REMOVES the ability to drop to lower refresh rates (unless you use Quake3 engined games, and the like, which allow you to specifiy your own refresh rate.)

I love this program. I use to OC my GF3 Ti 200 as well as fix refresh rate problems.

I have used Powerstrip for years but it no longer seems to work at forcing refresh rates in 3d d3d games....I prolly don't know exactly how to set it...kind of complicated...

Yes, the fix is to replace the nv4_disp.inf with this one. I had the best results uninstalling the 28.32's, unzip the .exe file to a folder, replace the nv4_disp.inf, reboot PC, then reinstall the drivers. You can then use the refresh rate program.

The latest version of RivaTuner RC10.1 works just fine with any nVidia driver with regards to the 60 Hz refresh rate fix.
