And if you read well into that thread that notty22 linked, there seems to be more than a few people having huge artifact problems when this driver, even modified with the .inf files in that thread, on cards other than the GTX580. The majority of posters in that thread are commenting that if they don't have a GTX580, they're having problems in games....and having going back to the 260.99 drivers.

So much for rock solid, but since these drivers were specific for the GTX 580, is it any surprise?

Do they fix Final Fantasy 11 fps issue?

Isnt it like 7months without getting it to work properly on 4xx cards? And nvidia saying they ll fix it next driver release. I think their forums, has a thread with like 85,000 views on the matter.

issue is people with 2xx cards can run 30fps anywhere, any suituation, but even with a 480 their getting like 5-10 fps in certain suituations.

*edit checked thread on nvidia furms:

262.99 (GTX580 release driver) Fail.
Still get 50+% frameloss in populated areas.

Hey, this driver didn't break any games/apps that previously worked, I call it a success...:)
