NVIDIA 2 for 1 Stock Spit!

nVidia 1 year ago = great stock appreciation

nVidia today = great stock to short

To bad all my monies tied up in retirement accounts which CANNOT be used to "short" a stock🙁

Can you get those accounts qualified to trade options? You could then sell naked calls if you're into the whole limited upside with unlimited loss position thing. Or buying naked puts, if you're not into unlimited risk. One of my retirement accounts with Fidelity is approved for covered call short positions and naked put long positions. It rocks.

But yeah, if I owned NV stock now, I'd be selling calls and buying puts like there's no tomorrow.

The 7900 release this week, the nForce 5 release in June and the G80 in July should keep the stock up.

ATI needs $$$ badly (i.e., they've had 3 crappy quarters back to back)...if their products don't outperform nVidia's, ATI will have to discount their prices which will cut nVidia revenue and/or force nVidia into a pricewar which will hurt their magins.

Either way...nVidia's stock will suffer (IMHO😉)

extremely strong.
rumors last week about amd buying up ati?
since nvidia's in bed w/amd, is this nvidia's way of a work around to reduce it's competion?
don't get me wrong, i run both intel and amd, nvidia and ati. i just think that an eventual lack of competition hurt's us all. obviously, history dictates that if ati succumb's, another company wil eventually fill the void but in the meantime....
opinions?

Interesting, 'cuz I had thought ATI is gaining ground and NV needs to step it up

Not when it comes to the stock market. ATi isn't gaining profit last I've seen. 🙁
