I have setup a dual boot on the following system:
Pentium 4 1.5GHz
512MB PC800 Ram
LeadTek GeForce2 Ultra - nVidia reference drivers 12.41
DirectX 7.0

3dMark2000 results:
>Windows ME - 8552
>Windows 2K - 3818

Why such the poor performance in Windows 2K?
Something must be wrong for it to be off by that much!

Any sugestions?

have you installed any intel .inf-files for the chipset to be recognized properly by Win2K?

I did install the .inf files, which caused it to crash btw.
Had to do a repair afterwards to get back up and running.

I then installed DirectX 8 and that increased my 3DMark2000 scores by 4000 points!
It went from 3818 to 7824.

My scores in Win2K are also lower than those Ive seen with others running vitually identical setups but using Me or 98 instead. There not as big a difference as what you got getting EglsFly, but they are consistantly lower, (up to 1000 points difference in 3D2000) . Is this a Win2k problem in general with Mad Onion's Tests?

Is anybody else getting lower scores in 2K than those seen with 98/Me?
