Nvida control Panel?

So is there a difference in performance with multi display performance vs single display performance settings. I realize that this has to do with using multi or one monitor but isn't multi-display supposed to be not functional with sli enabled yet it is still a selectable option. Is it a bug in the CP or or are both options the same with sli enabled? Thanks
