NV5 + Gigabyte 6800GT = Won't Work !!

I was checking some info on the NV5 and also looking at some pics that I took for My card when I realised that the NV5 has a 2 pin power plug and the Gigabyte 6800GT has a 3 pin power plug !!!!!!!!! (not standard )
How can I plug the NV 5 power plug to this 3 pin ?
Any ideas ?

Can I split the Plug on the NV5 and fit them independently in the 3 pin plug on the card ?

I think you should be able to just slice off the little foot of the plug so that it can fit.

So you have a 2 pin plug that looks like this [ well, cut one end so that it looks like this L. Not sure if that explains it well.
