NV35-Specs
500MHz GPU - 8 pipeline engine - .13Micron
512-bit architecture
1000~1200MHz DDR / QDR memory
400MHz Ramdac
LMA3 on 128MB~256MB Video Memory
TT&L Technology
DirectX 9.1 - OpenGL 2.0
NV35 will hit the 500MHz barriar on .13Micron technology. To do this Nvidia is removing the T&L unit from the GPU and putting it external. This allows for more heat spreader and better heat transfer from the GPU.
By removing the T&L unit, Nvidia is building on a new technology called TT&L which runs at 3/2 the GPU speed. (EX: Your GPU ran at 200MHz, the T&L unit would run at 300MHz) In NV35 case, the T&L unit will now run dedicated at 758MHz
Expected memory bandwidth of the NV35 is between 20~24GB/s.
3DFX SLI technology will be implemented in higher models (A.K.A Workstation models)

*sigh*

[EDIT]

I found the link for the specs he is listing. Go ahead and read them over...worth a good laugh.

"This product is expected to be annouced in January 2003, shipping by March."

Hmmm, they should have done a good job on the T&L hardware renderer otherwise that'll slow things down a lot. Looks like lots of heat will be expected, will this result in a loud fan again? I would think not but you never know...

Something gives me the feeling that while this card will perform like no other and remove ATI from the throne of highest performance, this card will come with a pretty high cost.

I take it u didnt look at th second posters comment... it is obviously speculation since the release date on the site is actually around the same release date of the NV30

Looks very interesting. Keyword on 'look' however. I'm looking forward to see how it performs.

Loud or not I will be getting once as soon as they come out. I know I get to bend over and shell out a lot of money. But I want to brag about my hardware every now and then. :p

This thing does look pretty killer. I just hope for Nvidia's sake that it does. And if it is.....I will definately be in line to pick one up.

Lets look at this realistically. A card with them specs as well as being very expensive, would not happen. The QBM spec hasnt been veryified yet, and a 512bit chip, this a doubt really, both nVidia and ATI have learned from Matrox mistake with their 512bit GPU, its just not worth the extra cost.
And considering the nv chips with 5 as their second digit(nv15, nv25), are usually just simple refreshess, and core optimisations, then the 512bit is not likely to happen.
The external T&L chip sounds a little like the spec of the 3dfx rampage. And nVidia wont label the SLI technology as 3DFX`s, cos it makes them seem lazy.
IMO, this is 100% Bull Plop.

That's ever so slightly old.
It says August 2002 for the NV30 and March 2003 for the NV35.
Slightly out of date.
