Have you lot noticed that the memory on the 5900 is set out like a Matrox Parhelia?
Why dont any of the Doom3 benchmarks include a 9700 series card?

Well, in the DooM3 tests the 5800 easily bests the R9800Pro, so unless you have a very odd R9700Pro I don't think it would quite fall between the R98 and the FX58 :)

So, is it possible to run doom3 on a 9700pro @1280x1024@max above 30fps? Or is it too early to tell, there cant be that much optimisation left to do, ive seen a interview with someone at ID, and aparantely John Carmack has finished optimising, they`re just ironing out the bugs now.

Running HighQuality you should hit over 30FPS average(R9800Pro ~@40), don't know about max though.
