Although posting about the superiority of v5 to radeon to geforce is fun indeed.. I've read some about the amazing NV20. Does anyone know more about this chip, mainly when will it be available? Also when is ATIs next offering coming to stores or 3dfx for that matter. I'd just soon grab the first fully DX8 card out.. think the card companys are trying to beat each other to market with next gen cards?
I thought someone once said after the first of the year we will see these cards appearing. I for one can't wait for NV20 but how does Nvidia plan to sell their latest card at a $500 price point as in the GTS ultras case?
Thought provoking!

The design phase of next generation nvidia graphics chip has finished and you will see it shortly. It will be within 2~3 months.

lol nice triple post. Anyway, I don't really know which will be out first, but I've read some good things about the Rampage too. We'll just have to see which ends up best, I think NV20 is supposed to come out first though.

Well, i wouldn't rush to get the first DX8 card available.

If no games are coded for DX8, then it's not really going to be a wise investment. Lots of wasted features that you're paying extra for.

Until a game comes out that makes you think "Damn! I need to upgrade!" why bother?

Wait until all of the DX8 cards are out (g800/RadeonII/NV20/Spectre) and then grab the one that plays your favorite games the best.

Don't buy for the future, buy for now. Whatever you're going to play in the future will be much cheaper in the future

Am I the only one left that loves tech demos??? People attempt to put down the joy of 3dmark but I enjoy my MX defeating the competition and then seeing its bigger brothers GTS and the Ultra absolutely spank everything. And the X Isle tech demo is genuinely sweet and seeing peoples jaws drop seeing it being displayed on a big screen is something that can not be ignored.

Hehe, but really there are games that take advantage of Nvidias chips and it shows by their pure speed. Lets not go offtopic though.. I want to hear what people have to say about the new cards.

hahaha!!! I love 3dMark2000! Just not as a comparison benchmark between different systems.

the repeating demo is part of my "OC Torture test"
