A technology that NV licenses
http://www.transmeta.com/tech/longrun2.html

A bit intriguing.

There was a time when Transmeta made low power laptops (saw them at Fry's) but they didn't last long against Intel. I thought Transmeta went bankrupt since. Apparently, Transmeta's technology is still worth something.

Well this got off-topic fast. shangshang, etc, if you want to talk about the issue at hand, please feel free to post a new thread.:)

Transmeta emulated x86. But they made some hugh errors not enough cache beung the biggest . So the Emulation took a hugh performance hit . Its alot like what Intel is doing with DX for larrabbee. The differance Intel seen transmetas mistake and corrected it.

So is NV going to emulate X86 lol. This is just fantastic . Its happening exactly opposite of what I invisinioned. Here I thought intel would be doing all the emulating and I don't mean X86. This is epic. Intel the only one in town with compilers that can do the job and do it well ,. and they don't need it . LOL. I told you guys 3 months ago Compilers was the secret. I never dreamed it would turn out like this.

A whole lot of scrambling going on now . If its OK with you OP I would like to add some links . Its important that you guys get a handle as to whats going on here. I promise OP it well all be on Topic.

Nemesis you're free to do whatever that is allowed by the rules around here!! Although I realize that you have a history of going OT, but I also think that 90% of the internet is one bit OT topic! So go ahead.
