NV Silencer on 6800 GT

So I got my NV Silencer yesterday and popped it on. Damn thing is huge. I had to move my hard drive because it was touching the back side of the shroud.

Anyway got my rig up and running and let it sit for a bit. Had RivaTuner running.

Stock speed idle temp for the core was 48C

OC at 416/1.13 core temp idle was 50C

Ran 3Dmark 05 3 times consecutively at OC speeds

Core temp topped out at 79C which is a bit warm but not to bad considering the load on the card. Also it never sat at that temp. It would peak then drop off back down to low 70's.

Ambient temps were all reasonable as well. I don't remember what they are off the top of my head.

I would say this is well worth the price of admission. The install is easy too...although I completely disassembled the stock shroud as opposed to just taking the 5 screws out of the back and removing it as a solid piece 😛

My system is quieter now too. All I can hear is my Aerocool now. (I have 4 Zalman ZM-90's in my case)

If you have a 6800 and have $40 (est) to spend I say get this.
