NV Silencer Install on my 7800Gt

yea, i installed the silencer on my 7800gt a couple days ago. I wasnt really paying attention and I installed the backplate on the back as well. We all know that the 7800gt doesnt need a backplate as there is no memory there.

My question is, is it worth getting back into my case to take it off? It probably cant cause any harm other than wasting that extra time I spend installing it.

Dont know why I did that. What should I do?

you mean backplate for the memory?

or the back plate that holds the cooler???

if it's the backplate for the memory, you can just leave it there, it proly causes no harm

except i have no memory back there. I wasnt thinking and took the time to put all of the thermal pads on the back (soldering area...i think) of each memory thing. Then I put that backplate on top.

Think it is fine? Maybe i will take it off when I tidy up my computer wires this weekend.
