NV Silencer Failure

I recently, with the help of a friend, built a new system. I got an EVGA 6800 GT vid card and an Arctic Cooling NV Silencer 5 Rev 2 fan for cooling. It's been running fine for about 2 months now until this weekend I noticed some games started locking up and freezing. I opened the case to find the NV Silencer just not running. I rearranged some power supply plugs and such and still nothing. Has anyone ever heard of this happening or have had it happen to them? Any idea what may have caused it to just fail? Any info would help greatly.

Thank you
