I was wondering how to put this heatsink on. How would you take the stock heatsink off? This is for BFG 6800 gt.

it comes with instructions, but basically you just have to undo all the screws and tear it apart... the NV5 is SO easy to put on in place of the stock cooler.

yep...If it's a "reference" design, it's not too tough. You need two different size screw drivers though. One small one to take off the Tiny little "eye glass screws" that hold the aluminum plate with the fancy graphics on it, and a medium size one to take off all the other screws. Be careful when you take off the main GPU heatsink. I'd give it a little "wiggle" and then gently pull it off. After all the screws are undone, everything should come off pretty easily. Be sure to throughly clean all the core/memory surfaces with some high alcohol content (>75%) rubbing alcohol, before applying the thermal paste.

also...if you're not getting the results that you like...you might want to check out This Thread, to see if it helps. ;)
