NV Silencer 5 on 7900?

I'm wondering the same thing because I plan on getting a 7900 gt with the evga step-up thingy and i would really like to know if i can use my silencer 5 rev. 3

Wondering the same. I dont think it will personally, as it's too long for the 7900 GT.
At the moment my moneys on the Zalman CF900, but I sure would love a NV silencer style cooler for my GT's.
Because they exhaust the air, and im pretty sure two 7900 GT's oc'd hard would fill my PC with alot of hot air.

bump beacuse I want to know the same thing. The stock cooling on my 7800GT was louder than anything else in my PC.

I imagine that it probably will. I have 2 NV5's still from my 7800GTX's, and I was wondering the same.

If you check out Zalman's page for their new VF900-Cu, you can see from the install/compatibility diagrams that the same mounting holes are used for the 7800's and 7900's. So I imagine that the holes in the PCB are in the same relative position, and that the NV5 should fit without any issues.

Same here. From the pictures I had the impression that the Silencer will fit.

Both 7900 cards (GTX and GT) looked to me as similar on the layout as the 7800 series.

I will try to get one this week, let's see what happens.
